New Features & Improvements

New access control lists for collections.

As of version 3.3, amentis has extended access to collections in amentis DXS Data Insights to include action permissions. This functionality allows you to assign dedicated permissions (read, create, modify, delete, import, export, archive) for each collection.

The new access permissions are managed via so-called access control lists. Here you have the possibility to group collection permissions in order to be able to reuse them for different users or user groups.

The access control lists can be assigned to individual user groups as well as to users. Permissions from different assignments have an additive effect.

Get a grip on your users' access permissions.

To ensure that you can always track which permissions to collections a user has in the system, you can view the permission status for each user.

In addition to information on which user groups the user is assigned to, you get an overview of which collections are accessible and which permissions (read, create, change, delete, import, export, archive) a user has been assigned for the authorized collections.

Now also deletion of documents possible.

The new functionality allows you to delete documents and other data directly from the system UI. The delete functionality is available in the following dialogs:

  • Deleting documents from collections
  • Parameters
  • Webhooks
  • Undeliverable documents
  • Mapping Jobs
  • Access permissions
  • Change log
  • Access log

Transform your data with our mapping jobs.

Do you want to prepare data for machine learning or do you need the data available in the system in transformed form? Then use our mapping job templates!

In a mapping job template, you define mapping rules for transforming data between two collections. You can run the template as often as you like. Here, data is read from a source collection, transformed and finally written to the target collection.

Information about the available template expressions for the transformation of data is provided directly as instructions in the dialog.

Generate even more insights with the new data viewer for power users.

In addition to the table view and tile view, users now have the ability to view the documents in the collections directly from the UI as a list in JSON format.

This new view of the data can be especially helpful for Power users who need to find data integration issues and want to view the documents conveniently from the UI.

Search your data even faster with our quick filters.

You no longer have to remember cryptic business terms. The value mapping rules created in the schema of the collections are now available to you as quick filters in the filter settings.

Gain more visibility into your executed webhooks.

A detail dialog has been added to the webhook log. Here you can clearly view the documents of your executed webhooks.

Extend your documents with calculated attributes.

With version 3.3 amentis provides so-called calculated attributes. They represent document values that are not supplied by an external system or user, but are derived by a script expression. The system calculates the actual values for each of these attributes based on the script expression.

The calculated attributes are managed by the document schema. Information about the available template expressions for the script expression is provided directly as instrcutions in the dialog.

Bugs

The tenant dialog is always displayed in the menu, even if the permission is missing.

If a user lacked the permissions to see the tenant settings, the dialog was still displayed in the menu and could be accessed. However, due to the missing permissions, viewing tenant settings was basically prevented.

The error has been fixed. If a user lacks the permission to see tenant settings, the dialog is no longer displayed in the menu.

Missing translations of attribute descriptions in the detail dialog for managing collections.

The missing English translations have been added.

Display of collections fails for new users.

The problem that a backend error (status 404) occurred when opening collections for new users has been fixed.

New Features & Improvements

Check the availability of your system services.

As of version 3.2, you can view the availability of your amentis DXS components in the System Availability dialog. The dialog lists the application services and the associated subsystems.

Now also possible to load data from JSON files manually.

The previous import functionality for loading data has been extended.

In addition to data from source files in CSV format, it is now also possible to upload data from source files in JSON format. Information about the correct formatting of your file's data is provided directly in the data upload dialog.

Of course, you can not only add this data to a selected collection, but also update already existing records of your selected collection.

Generate even more insights with the metrics overview.

The new functionality offers you the possibility to display metrics of your selected values of the collection.

In addition to the average value, the overview also provides information about the maximum and minimum value.

You can use the detailed view to view other metrics, such as quartiles and standard deviations.

Assign user-friendly texts to your business terms.

Often business terms are rather cryptic in nature (e.g. '-1', 'Cat_1_A') and only well understood by business users.

With version 3.2, amentis offers the possibility to map these business terms to comprehensible localized texts, which are well suited to understand, even for users who are not working with the data on a frequent basis (e.g. '-1' corresponds to DE=Fehler/EN=Error).

With the document change log you can track changes to your data.

Every change to your data will be logged in the system and can be viewed via the change log. In addition, you can view the changes made to each data record in the system over the complete lifetime of the data record.

You receive the information, which attributes at your data at which time were changed. A new creation can be seen as the first change record in the history.

The audit logging can be globally enabled or disabled for a given tenant.

It is also possible to set the logging on the level of the collections. Collection-level settings will always take precedence on the tentant-level settings.

Configure webhooks to connect with other services.

With version 3.2 from amentis DXS you can configure webhooks to communicate with other services. For this purpose, a dialog for configuring webhook subscriptions is available.

You can view the executed webhook events in the webhook log.

Bugs

When switching collections the schema of the table is not updated.

The schema information was not loaded correctly when switching between data areas. The page always had to be reloaded to get the correct data structure displayed. This error has been fixed.

Display of metrics fail with empty collections.

The problem with a server error (status 500) occurring in data areas without content has been fixed.

New Features & Improvements

New menu structure for more extension options.

The previous menu structure has been changed to allow for more functionalities, such as customer extensions and authorization settings.

Extension of export functions.

With version 3.1, amentis has expanded its export functions to include native excel export. This is now available in all document lists.

After completing the export process, you can download your export file via the notification center as usual.

Please note that the formatting of the downloaded data in excel format is based on the country settings of your excel system. The representation of the data in excel may therefore differ from the representation in the amentis DXS add-on Data Exploration.

Manage access to collections.

Users and user groups as well as dialog permissions are managed for amentis DXS in the external tool Keycloak, which can be accessed via the amentis DXS interface.

As of version 3.1 management of access to the collections is available in amentis DXS .

You can unlock collections either for user groups or for individual users.

Manually loading of data into a collection.

Do you want to load data manually into the system? - No problem!

You only need a collection into which the data should be loaded and a source file in csv format. For your convenience, information about the correct formatting of the data in your file is provided directly when uploading the data.

By the way: You can not only add new data, but also update already existing data records in your data areas.

Correction of invalid documents.

Incorrect records that could not be processed during automatic upload to the system can be edited and uploaded again afterwards using the Invalid documents view.

The system will inform you which fields in the record do not match the expected format.

After manually correcting and reloading the data, you can go directly to the data area and analyze your imported data.

Design your own tooltip texts for the document list.

Do you want to have more or different information for certain attributes than is displayed in the tooltip by default? No problem! You can configure the displayed text in the tooltip for the table cells per attribute yourself.

Create schemas and collections yourself.

Starting with version 3.1, amentis offers the possibility to not only view schemas and collections, but to create them yourself via the user interface. For this purpose, wizards are available to support you in creating schemas and data areas.

Of course, it is also possible to adapt and extend already existing schemas and collections if required.

Generate even more insights with the distribution analysis.

The new functionality of the distribution analysis offers you the possibility to display the frequency of certain values of the attributes of the selected data range graphically and in tabular form.

Flexible filter options are available for this purpose - depending on how many columns you want to have displayed and which sorting you prefer.

Depending on the data type of the selected attribute, the values are displayed either as a bar chart or as a tile chart.

Consideration of mapping rules.

Mapping rules allow you to display understandable texts for the users of your system instead of business values. The texts are displayed for the users at the user interface instead of the domain-oriented values.

You have the possibility to create mapping rules for each attribute in the different schemas.

Please note: The filtering of the values in the data areas must still be done via the domain-oriented values.

Bugs

Adjustment of the language of the field labels and help texts.

All field labels and help texts are now displayed correctly depending on the set language (German/English).

Filter and column settings are no longer reset.

When switching between the different tabs in the collections, it happened that the set filter settings and column settings were lost. This has been fixed throughout.

Consideration of time zones.

In the case of collections containing date and time data from different time zones, incorrect displays occurred in the time series analyses. The time zones of the respective date and time specifications are now consistently taken into account.

Analyze your data in the data series analysis and derive valuable insights.

The data series analysis offers you the possibility to aggregate and evaluate all your data graphically and in tabular form.

For the evaluation, all known filter options of the list view are available, as well as numerous options for the aggregation and segmentation of your key figures.

The results are clearly displayed in bar charts and tables.

Gain new insights from your data with time series analysis.

With the new time series analysis functionality, you have the option of analyzing your data on a time period basis.

Flexible time scales are available for this purpose - depending on how fine-grained you need the data analysis to be. You have the option of analyzing and comparing several key figures in one graphic. Different aggregation options (average, maximum,...) help you to derive the right insights for you.

Document your analysis with the possibility to print the time series analysis.

As an extension to the time series analysis, amentis also offers the possibility to print the time series analysis you have created.

The print of the time series analysis can be triggered via the print icon on the "Time Series" tab. You can choose to print only the chart or, in addition, a table with the values aggregated for the chart.

Statistics give you insights into all your data.

Statistics allow you to derive insights from your key figures quickly. With this new functionality, amentis offers an overview of all your data in a data area.

Histograms support you in analyzing the frequency of your data.

Manage all important settings of your data areas in one central place.

With the new version, amentis offers a dialog for managing your data areas and schemas. Here you can view all configurations related to your data area.

Design your own view in the documents of the data areas.

Using the view in the documents, you can define the order of the columns yourself, as well as hide columns that you do not want to be displayed - you set yourself which data you want to see in which order and which you do not need.

Optimization of data export, even of large data sets.

With version 3.0, amentis has completely adapted the way data export works. With the new function it is now possible to export even large amounts of data from the system in a performant way.

The export files are prepared in the background. Large amounts of data are automatically split and compressed.

After the export process is completed, the system informs you about the possibility to download your data via the new notification center.

Our new functionalities at the data areas bring a lot of "Insights" for you.
